Arkansas goes live with Barts

In 2003, the Arkansas Employment Security Department (AESD) was looking for unemployment insurance fraud detection and management software, and On Point Technology was the only vendor providing a packaged software product to meet their needs. On Point Technology worked with Jessie Cain, Benefit Payment Control Manager, and her staff to configure Barts to comply with Arkansas unemployment insurance law, policy and precedent. In December 2004, AESD went live with Barts, and since then has run a weekly cross match of unemployment insurance benefits against the Arkansas new hire registry and streamlined the adjudication of received tips and leads. These are two of the many strategies available in Barts that enhance AESD's ability to meet its BAM goals for overpayment detection and recovery.
