Dale Ziegler Named Recipient of the J. Eldred Hill, Jr. Award at the 36th Annual UWC National UI Issues Conference in Boston, MA
Oakbrook, IL — June 28, 2017 – On Point Technology, LLC announced today that Dale Ziegler, Managing Director for Government Relations, was named the recipient of the J. Eldred Hill, Jr. Award at the Unemployment & Workers’ Compensation Association’s annual conference in Boston, MA. Established in 1933, UWC – Strategic Services on Unemployment & Workers’ Compensation (UWC) is the only broad-based, country-wide association exclusively devoted to representing the interests of the business community on national unemployment insurance (UI) and workers’ compensation (WC) public policy issues. The award is named after J. Eldred Hill, Jr., former president of UWC (then UBA), and is given to an individual for excellence in the public policy arena in service to the employer community. Also named was Matt Harvill, Vice President, Operations Shared Services, Global Solutions for Kelly Services, and a former Chairman of UWC who served from 2003 – 2016.
Ziegler was recognized for his more than 30 years at both the state and federal levels championing the cause of Integrity in the Unemployment Insurance (UI) system where he worked to promote policies and practices that contribute to preventing unemployment insurance Benefit improper payments, both fraud and non–fraud, and ensuring that all employers pay their fair share of UI taxes. Prior to joining On Point Technology, Dale served as the Deputy Administrator of the United States Department of Labor’s (USDOL) Office of Unemployment Insurance where he oversaw operations of the UI system that provided Benefits to eligible unemployed workers with a constant eye focused on funding and working with the state UI Agencies to insure the effective operation of all program and Integrity activities in both the Benefits and Tax areas. Before joining USDOL, Dale held executive level positions in the UI programs of two states. In Maryland, he served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Department of Economic and Employment Development with responsibility for the UI and Job Training programs and in Washington State he led UI activities as the Assistant Commissioner for Unemployment Insurance.
Since joining On Point Technology in 2013, Dale has played an integral role in developing and providing solutions, services and support for UI Agencies.
