On Point Technology announces special SUTA Dumping audit offer

After seeing how quick and easy it is to operate Aware's SUTA Dumping audit and fully utilize the results, several state workforce agencies have inquired about the possibility of extracting the audit from the off-the-shelf Aware software package and installing it as a separate tool. Some suggested that they need fast access to such a tool, which requires little or no involvement of IT staff, while they wait for funding or wait to finalize a determination to deploy the entire application. In response, On Point Technology is announcing a special offer to make the SUTA Dumping audit available as a stand-alone tool. Agencies that take advantage of this offer will be given a full credit against the lease price if they later decide to install the UI Benefits module or UI Tax module, or both. For more on this special offer, visit www.onpointtech.com, or contact Bob Yokavonus at 908-526-0426 or robert.yokavonus@onpointtech.com.

New series of white papers to detail On Point Technology software products

On Point Technology has introduced a series of white papers to provide potential decision-makers and users with more detailed information on the company's software products. Intended to answer questions on different product issues and promote a more in-depth understanding of the Aware and Barts software, these documents will be available at www.onpointtech.com. The first paper in the series, "How Aware Fits Into Existing Technology Plans," is now available online and explains the data analysis and reporting functions the product performs in its UI Tax, UI Benefits, Workers' Compensation and Temporary Disability Insurance modules. It details the advantages of deploying these applications in a state workforce agency and dispels a number of misconceptions concerning the implementation of the application.

The paper also illustrates how Aware's fast implementation will provide immediate functionality without risking agency performance. The installation, which won't negatively affect ongoing business processes, waste scarce IT and program resources or slow down the agency's return on investment, will allow users to perform queries across multiple data sets, aggregate data into an integrated file, navigate information in real time, and conduct next generation data mining.

Industry News

On Point Technology salutes state workforce agencies on 70th anniversary of UI program — The On Point Technology team is excited to salute the staffs of the 53 state workforce agencies on the 70th anniversary of the Unemployment Insurance Program. Signed into law on August 14, 1935, the Social Security Act of 1935 established the framework of the UI system. On Point Technology joins all Americans in thanking our friends, colleagues and clients at the agencies for a job well done over these many years.

Wouldn't it be interesting to see their reactions if claimants from those early years could witness the program as it operates today, supported by the latest technology? Unemployment insurance has been a vital force in good times and bad, providing a lifeline of support to individual laid-off workers, assisting employers to preserve and stabilize their workforce and pumping money into the economy in times of downturns.

Congratulations, and thanks for all you have done. We are pleased to have been a part of this program since our own founding in 1996, and look forward to continuing our long and mutually beneficial relationship.

Did You Know?

As On Point Technology representatives travel around the country demonstrating the Barts and Aware software products, they find the occasional Labor Market Information (LMI) specialist in the audience. When making arrangements for the visit, On Point Technology likes to extend the invitation to LMI staff, who are often initially confused when the reps start demonstrating Barts or the "one click" audits in Aware's UI Benefits and UI Tax modules. They wonder: Why are we here? This stuff is for program operations, auditors and investigators.

However, the scene quickly changes when it's time for Aware's Workforce Reporter demonstration. The LMI staff members edge up in their seats to get a closer look and the wheels start turning as they realize how Workforce Reporter can make their jobs easier and increase departmental performance and output. They are quick to share their stories about the deficiencies and limitations of SAS, SPSS and Crystal Reports, and other tools they currently use. They express their concerns about the inability to bring together disparate databases—internal and external—as integrated datasets for analysis and reporting activities. When On Point Technology representatives show them how easily Workforce Reporter performs these functions, the response is just short of disbelief. Workforce Reporter can eliminate many of the data compilation problems, analyses hang-ups and reporting obstacles that confound every state workforce agency's LMI shop, allowing these specialists to provide "the right answer, right on time."

If you are in LMI and want additional information on the Aware suite with Workforce Reporter, contact Bob Yokavonus at 908-526-0426 or e-mail robert.yokavonus@onpointtech.com. You have nothing to lose besides being criticized for not being able to deal with questions to which you should have answers, writing endless time-consuming and difficult queries you know will never be used again, waiting in line for requests to be approved and run, and getting data and analyses long after the window of opportunity to use them has closed.
